About this course

Chances are, you spend a lot of time playing scales on electric bass. But what do you do with those scales? In this course, Anthony Muthurajah takes you from start to finish by turning scales into clear soloing concepts, with a method of how to integrate each scale into your playing. Through his method, you’ll learn how to take something as simple as a C Major Scale and turn it into a good, clear bass solo that you can play on any gig or jam session. This course also gives you some great exercises using the 3rds and 7ths, and how to use them to enhance your soloing. With 3 hours of material all about soloing on the electric bass, this course will instantly take you to the next level in your improvisation, both harmonically and rhythmically. A common problem when soloing on the electric bass is where to start — not just in your journey as a soloist, but where to start physically on the fretboard. This method solves that problem by giving you a clear path of where to start each scale in any position on the fretboard. Through a series of different fingerings, Anthony Muthurajah gives you several pathways for each scale, so that you never get lost while soloing.

Soloing on Electric Bass: The Foundation clears up the mystery of the electric bass fretboard, while showing you a clear method to turn scale exercises into great solos.

Lots of work to do

Through several instructions, Anthony gives us the opportunity to finally improvise on chord progressions.... The title is aptly named: it is the foundation for improvising on the bass.
